Plymouth College of Art

A few weeks ago I was asked to photograph examples of work by the final year students on the various degree courses at Plymouth College of Art. The work included jewellery, silversmithing, glass, ceramics and textiles. A long but enjoyable day and great to see some fresh and exciting pieces. Thanks to Laura Wasley for organising everything and to the students for the great work!

A small selection can be seen below.

Cornwall Crafts Association

Last summer I was commissioned by Elinor Lamond from Cornwall Craft Association to provide a product photography service for the members of CCA in preparation for a new website. I'm glad to see the freshly redesigned website www.cornwallcrafts.co.uk is in full flow and really looks great!

I'd like to thank Elinor Lamond for all her help, chasing up artists, styling the shoots and most importantly helping carry all my photography gear!

Sandra Blow

Late last year I had the great opportunity to visit the late Sandra Blow's studio in St Ives to photograph a range of textiles by designer Rebecca Lewis. Rebecca has the licence to reproduce Sandra Blow's paintings as a range of textiles and prints.
It was a truly awe-inspiring experience seeing the scale of the paintings in the studio with the paints, brushes and scraps of paper scattered about as if the artist had just left the studio for a quick break.
